I'm working on a new version of LiveWidget, most significantly it will have a universal (as in PPC and MacTel compatible) plugin for accessing the keychain. If you're on a MacTel and want to help me test, drop me an email.
The fix was really simple. It turned out I had missed a setting and Apple had not been checking for the setting. They fixed their bug in the 10.4.3 so I have had to fix mine too. LiveWidget 2.1 is available now
I've heard of some trouble using LiveWidget under OS X 10.4.3 so I'm about to do the upgrade. I'd held off until now because I prefer to wait and let other people find out if it's safe. Since there haven't been any reports of massive file deletions or flesh eating virii I might as well take the plunge. If you're having difficulties since the upgrade, I am on the case. check back soon for an update, if one is needed.
I've removed the code that spits lots of stuff to the console. There are things that can be improved, I would like to show the userpics in the widget, but that takes design time and I don't feel the inspiration at the moment. So this is it, I'll package it up and ship it out today. WhooHoo!
So I haven't posted much recently, I got distracted with real life as is often the way. A tester has just emailed me to say that things are all fine and it should go out to the general public and since I've forgotten what else I was doing I might as well get this out there, as soon as I fix the css on the back

LiveWidget makes another step today by adding tag support. I haven't got full access to the server at the moment but I should be over there this weekend and I'll put the new version up. In the meantime if you want secure passwords, userpics and tags in a LiveJournal widget, drop me a line.
Now that I'm doing some more advanced things I'd really like to have a few more people testing the widget as I develop it. If you're interested just drop me a line and (assuming I'm not overwhelmed with requests) I'll get you the beta of LiveWidget 2.0 and you can try out secure passwording, userpics and tags.
